1) I'm in europe, so I wont be eligible to get in the beta.
2) What I've heard about GW2 so far makes me think I'm not going to buy it at all. Many of the things I liked most about GW (the instancing, the heroes & hench, and, initially, the lack of grind) seems to be missing in GW2.
I may eventually buy it, but I'll wait until I've seen some reviews and heard the opinions of players.

If Diablo 3 or Starcrafts or any other GOOD beta is before GW 2's, and it probably will be, I'm not going to accept the invitation to the beta.

Wait, wut? Are you sure that in europeans won't be eligible for the open beta?
And i share your opinion, i'm worried of how it'll turn out to be, beeing able to solo sucks in my opinion, the team dynamic is one of the things that i love about GW. And having open worlds, even tough i like it, opens doors for other problems, like spawn camping for example. Not to mention i won't be able to play the game peacefully... But we'll see how this turns out to be.

Oh, it may be possible for europeans to get in the open beta, it seems to be more common to let europeans play in open betas nowadays, which makes sense as open betas are just PR campaigns anyway, but the closed beta is guaranteed to be US only.

Oh thanks, i was talking about the open beta really. I probably won't bother trying it out there tough, but it's always nice to have the option. :P

I have too much to do in GW1 to beta GW2. Given my experiences in GW1 to date I develop lower and lower expectations for NC West daily. It would not take much at this point for them to surpass my estimation of what they will do, nor would meeting that threshhold at this point provide me any incentive to consider buying or recommending their new games to anyone. I have too much invested in GW1 at this point not to continue using it.

I know for a fact that i turn down the offer if i had the option to be in the GW2 Beta.
Last beta's i have been in there where to many people who do not give a damn and just want to in the beta to say they where there (Vorzockers).
And i share the same opinion about GW2 as Numa Pompilius Point2

I would gladly play through the entire beta even if my whole account was going to get deleted. By all accounts, it sounds like it will be a step above the WoW game engine and if it lives up to all the hype, being part of the beta would be a great experience.
I am planning on getting GW2 the moment it's available. Due to a lack of new content, I've been straying from GW (focusing on Warhammer Online now). The games I've been playing are games that I consider to be temporary, things to do while waiting for GW2.

that isn't true at all...
Most NCSoft games including Guild wars had Euro betas...
Even WoW had Euro betas and have at the moment for WotLK
WAR had Euro beta's and there are still Euro Elder Testers in the Alpha
EvE has beta testers on its Sisi server testing changes for the next expansion too,and has done for most of them...
Not a flame Numa, but please, double check info before saying something you may get flamed or bitten back from

Honestly thats pretty much how I feel... I log into GW once a week now and after 6,000 hours in game and never once grinding anything,I can't stand to be in the game out ofboredom, however, WoW,WAR, EvE, all bore me after acoupleof hours... Even my 360 bores me now... I'm either just getting old, or Guild Wars has shown me something that nothing else has managed to replicate for me

How does one enter a beta anyway?
If it's open, I guess you just download the client and create an account?
If it's closed, you need an invitation: how does one get an invitation?
I'd be interested in playing the beta. I'd slowly do everything there is to do and not rush anything, so I won't spoil the fun when my guild starts playing. Don't want to be too far ahead. Even if your account will be reset, you'll have knowledge of what will happen, so that would be ideal for testing meticulously and slowly, as rushing has no use really.

Well, when I contacted about half of those they all said "no european testers". Actually several of them checked IP to avoid getting european testers. E.g. the beta signup page for Warhammer Online did that, and referred anyone with european IP to the (not yet open) european public beta.
You can spoof your IP using e.g. TOR of course, but that doesn't make the beta open to europeans.

Well I and most of my guild officers are Euros and I'm the only one,as a games journalist, gets most invites, but we keep ours keys open for beta invites and let each other no, and as I said above, I've been in most NCSoft beta's and waiting for Aion now and tried all the korean free MMO's too
the only one i haven't heard anything about so far is Star Trek Online...
StargateWorlds is open, Darkfall is currently loaded on my pc andwaiting for server dates... They are there, you just need to keep an eye out and even morelikely if your in a good guild
